Beef Burger with Pineapple
This pineapple addition to the humble beef burger will add natural sweetness tropical flavour to take your burgers to the next level.This burger recipe is quick and easy, and really popular with the kids...both big and small! For extra smokey flavour, feel free to grill the pineapple before adding to the burger.
500g beef mince
6 spring onions, finely chopped
2 tsp Dijon mustard
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
4 lettuce leaves, rinsed
4 slices tasty cheese
HEINZ Tomato Sauce , for serving
440g can GOLDEN CIRCLE Pineapple Thin Slices in Natural Juice, drained
HEINZ Whole Egg Mayonnaise , for serving
Tip: Grilling or caramelising the pineapple will give extra smokey flavour
Place the beef mince, spring onion, egg and mustard in a bowl and season to taste. Mix until well combined. Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape into large patties about 1cm thick.
Heat a large non-stick frying pan or barbecue plate and lightly spray with oil. Cook burger patties over medium high heat for 3 minutes each side or until cooked.
Assemble burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the base of each toasted bun. Top with a cheese slice, beef patty, HEINZ tomato sauce and GOLDEN CIRCLE pineapple. Finish with a dollop of mayonnaise. Replace bun lid and serve immediately.
